Bib Fortuna – Vintage Star Wars
Este personaje apareció en la décima ola de figuras asociadas a la saga de Star Wars, siendo la primera asociada a la colección “Return of the Jedi” y formando parte del cartón 65 back. Esta figura se lanzó en el año 1983 junto con las figuras de Admiral Ackbar, Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight Outfit), Princess Leia Organa (Boushh Disguise), Gamorrean Guard, Emperor’s Royal Guard, Chief Chirpa, Logray (Ewok Medicine Man), Klaatu, Rebel Commando, Weequay, Squid Head, General Madine, Ree-Yees, Biker Scout, Lando Clarissian (Skiff Guard Disguise) y Nien Nunb.
En algunas fotos de prototipos de esta figura, el abrigo era de color rojo oscuro. Luego, en la versión de producción, el abrigo cambió a un tono café (habiendo varios tipos) y algunos grises. Sin embargo, la empresa mexicana de juguetes Lili Ledy sacó algunas unidades con el abrigo en color rojizo, por lo que esta versión se hizo muy codiciada luego para los coleccionistas.
El problema que se tiene hoy en día es que es muy difícil identificar un abrigo original Lili Ledy color rojizo, habiendo muchas falsificaciones o reproducciones.
Muchas de estas figuras ni siquiera coinciden entre el color del abrigo y su COO (correspondiente a un Lili Ledy). Así y todo, en la actualidad la figura resulta difícil de conseguir una que sea realmente original, a menos claro que esté en su cartón sellado.
This character appeared in the tenth wave of figures associated with the Star Wars saga, being the first tied to the “Return of the Jedi” line and forming part of the 65-back. This figure was released in 1983 together with Admiral Ackbar, Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight Outfit), Princess Leia Organa (Boushh Disguise), Gamorrean Guard, Emperor’s Royal Guard, Chief Chirpa, Logray (Ewok Medicine Man), Klaatu, Rebel Commando, Weequay, Squid Head, General Madine, Ree-Yees, Biker Scout, Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard Disguise) and Nien Nunb.
In some prototype photos of this figure, the cloak was dark red. Later, in the production version, the cloak changed to a brown tone (with several variations) and some grey ones. However, the Mexican toy company Lili Ledy released some units with a reddish cloak, making this version highly sought after by collectors.
The issue today is that it is very difficult to identify an original reddish Lili Ledy cloak, as there are many counterfeits or reproductions.
Many of these figures do not even match between the cloak color and their COO (corresponding to a Lili Ledy). Even so, it is currently very difficult to find a truly original figure—unless, of course, it is still sealed on its card.
