Gamorrean Guard – Vintage Star Wars
Este personaje apareció en la décima ola de figuras asociadas a la saga de Star Wars, siendo la primera asociada a la colección “Return of the Jedi” y formando parte del cartón 65 back. Esta figura se lanzó en el año 1983 junto con las figuras de Admiral Ackbar, Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight Outfit), Princess Leia Organa (Boushh Disguise), Emperor’s Royal Guard, Chief Chirpa, Logray (Ewok Medicine Man), Klaatu, Rebel Commando, Weequay, Squid Head, General Madine, Bib Fortune, Ree-Yees, Biker Scout, Lando Clarissian (Skiff Guard Disguise) y Nien Nunb.
En el año 1991, Kenner lanzó la línea Robin Hood, Rey de los Ladrones, debido al estreno de un nuevo filme asociado a Robin y su banda a cargo de Kevin Costner. Kenner reutilizó moldes de líneas ya existentes y sólo desarrolló algunos cambios a la escultura y haciendo caras nuevas para sus personajes y accesorios. Una de estas figuras fue la del Fraile Tuck, el que reutiliza el cuerpo de un Guardia Gamorreano.
This character appeared in the tenth wave of figures associated with the Star Wars saga, being the first tied to the “Return of the Jedi” line and forming part of the 65-back. This figure was released in 1983 together with Admiral Ackbar, Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight Outfit), Princess Leia Organa (Boushh Disguise), Gamorrean Guard, Emperor’s Royal Guard, Chief Chirpa, Logray (Ewok Medicine Man), Klaatu, Rebel Commando, Weequay, Squid Head, General Madine, Bib Fortuna, Ree-Yees, Biker Scout, Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard Disguise) and Nien Nunb.
In 1991, Kenner released the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves line, tied to the new film starring Kevin Costner. Kenner reused molds from existing lines and only developed some sculpt changes and new head sculpts for the characters and accessories. One of these figures was Friar Tuck, which reused the body of a Gamorrean Guard.
