Darth Vader es una de las ocho figuras que se sumaron en 1978 luego de la venta del “Early Bird Certificate” de 1977. Esta figura se vendía de forma directa en las tiendas, junto con C-3PO, Stormtrooper, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Jawa, Sand People y Death Squad Commander. De esta forma, es parte del exclusivo grupo conocido como las 12 primeras, y que son las consideradas para ubicar dentro del diorama que venía con la entrega de figuras tempranas por correo.
Darth Vader is one of the eight figures that were added in 1978 after the sale of the “Early Bird Certificate” of 1977. This figure was sold directly in stores, along with C-3PO, Stormtrooper, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Jawa, Sand People and Death Squad Commander. This makes it part of the exclusive group known as the first 12 figures, which were selected for inclusion in the diorama that came with early mail-order figures.
